NodeJS Profiling

You can enable Node.js profiling on demand by sending the USR1 signal to the process.

Via Chrome Canary, you can attach to the node process and run profiler to debug applications

A profiler records where a program spends time. Off-CPU profiling measures time spent waiting rather than executing. Event-loop starvation occurs when long synchronous work prevents ready callbacks from running. Node’s --trace-sync-io option reports synchronous input/output calls that can cause such delays.
